What it is built from — and why not the conventional way

We do not build from the usual brick and plastic. We take you through the six phases of construction: what goes in, and why exactly that — the solid, healthy, durable solution instead of one that ages quickly.

Six phases, handed over with quality checkpoints

Every house goes through the same six documented phases. At every step you know which material goes in — and why we chose it over the usual solution that ages quickly.

  1. 01

    Site preparation

Geodetic survey, utilities, landscaping and orientation. We plan the position and direction of the house in advance — the sun, the wind and the soil work with the house, not against it.

  2. 02

    Foundation

Reinforced, continuous raft (slab) foundation (PIR edge insulation): the whole house sits on the ground as one piece.

Why not the conventional way: Instead of the usual strip or pad foundation, a reinforced concrete raft (slab) foundation — no uneven settlement, and the PIR edge insulation running all around rules out thermal bridges and moisture from the ground.

  3. 03

    Shell complete

Cast, reinforced Liapor expanded-clay lightweight concrete wall panels (15 cm, A1 – non-combustible) + 18 cm Rockwool rock wool, with a vapour-permeable (diffusion-open) silicone render outside; glue-laminated (glulam) roof structure with 400 mm of blown-in cellulose insulation and concrete roof tiles; triple-glazed solid-timber windows and doors.

Why not the conventional way: Conventional brick or aerated concrete does not offer this much thermal mass and durability. The Liapor + rock wool wall has a U-value of 0.17 W/m²K, the roof below 0.13 — vapour-permeable (diffusion-open), with a service life of 80+ years. Instead of plastic windows, solid timber that lasts for decades.

  4. 04

    Heating-ready

The full building services are in place: Samsung air-to-air heat pump, Samsung ERV heat-recovery ventilation with pollen filtering, ASIO rainwater harvesting — all connected to the ABB KNX bus running inside the wall, with room-by-room zone control.

Why not the conventional way: The building services and the smart-home backbone are in the wall, planned in advance — not chased in afterwards, not hidden in cable trunking.

  5. 05

    Turnkey

Interior surfaces: VOC-free, mould-resistant, natural paints; Muratto cork wall covering; Blokkwood interior thermally modified timber (parquet, wood tiles); Sapho sanitaryware; EGLO lighting.

Why not the conventional way: Instead of plastic emulsion paint and chipboard, natural, breathable, healthy materials — for clean indoor air.

  6. 06

    Home-ready

Yakisugi (thermally modified, charred timber) facade, fitted kitchen and furniture in place, smart home commissioned and explained to you — a finished, liveable home. You just move in.

Why not the conventional way: Not just heatable, empty walls: a finished, liveable home from day one.

What a Bolygóbarát Ház is built from — item by item

From the structure to the finishes, the terrace and the paints, and on to the furniture and the building services — every key technical detail in one place. We do not build with conventional solutions that age quickly, but with solid, durable, healthy materials.
